Gestures of Love - 9 - "Gentle Touch"

It's coming - Preparing a Soft Touch

“If all I have to do this year is love, I’m good” - Christine

Embody love as we wait to be reunited with our beloveds. This Awareness Through Movement® series progresses from Self Hugs to Sealed with a Kiss. Be ready for that wonderful moment when we can show our love up close and joyously.

Is your vaccine group is taking reservations? Maybe you're completely covered, with both shots? It might be time to practice imagining reaching out in the flesh. Hungrily, maybe. But gently.

This week is an exploration of soft hands. To reach gently. To tenderly pat seeds into sod pots. To pick up the guitar you've neglected. To tickle the first snowdrops that push up towards the sun. This lesson will be very low impact as we explore the connections from fingers to wrists to shoulders and chest. Even fingertips to heart.

Another quiet, more meditative session, so have your comfy stuff ready. You can sit in a chair, though lying on the floor is preferable if you can.

How you might feel after this lesson: Soft, sensitive fingers; Relaxed wrists; Hands, elbows; Sensing entire arm as connected to shoulders and center of chest; Connecting movement of hands and breath; Softened shoulder blades and chest.
