The World Needs Your Voice - Start Using It In Class

The World Needs to Hear Your Voice

I am a Seth’s Blog fan. I read it daily.

And more often than not, Seth writes directly to me.

The post “Finding your voice“ tickled me as I have been experimenting with vocalization and toning in my classes.

I was viewing ‘voice’ as a meter for easy breathing, whole body alignment, a spotlight for kinks and blockages.

But Seth adds an interesting perspective - practicing using your voice for the purpose of using your voice. Because the world needs to hear from us.

It’s pretty clear to me that our speaking voice is not the result of the inevitable physical evolution of our vocal cords. It’s something our brain figured out how to do with the part of our body that keeps us alive by breathing...

And because it’s a late addition, there are a bunch of kinks in the system...

If you don’t sound like you, it might simply be because your brain is sabotaging the thing you’re trying to say...

The world needs to hear from you.
