I’ll Find a Way or Make One – A Rosie Story by Rebecca Fasanello and Teresa Castillo

A Rosie Riveter Story by Rebecca Fasanello and Teresa Castillo

Premiering at the the Buffalo International Film Festival and Online October 9-20, 2022

“Avoid the online crowds and see it live in Buffalo” - Ms. Fasanello

My high school/lifelong friend and Emmy award winning documentarian Rebecca Fasanello (Becky to her homies) decamped from Brooklyn to our hometown of Williamsville, NY, to clear out her mom’s house and search for clues to mystery of her mother’s life.

During her Williamsville period, she has planted fruit trees and filmed a documentary making its premier at the Buffalo International Film Festival. I’ll Find a Way or Make One is the latest in Becky’s opus of heartfelt and thoughtful documentaries. And I knew her when…

The Story: Viola Hippert grew up a child of Serbian immigrants in the shadow of the Bethlehem Steel plant in Lackawanna, New York. Her family’s strong work ethic laid the groundwork for “Vi” to become a Rosie the Riveter at Bell Aircraft Corporation during WWII. Now in her late 90s, Vi reflects on her life and has no plan to slow down.

The film is entered into the Festival’s Western New York Shorts category. It’s definitely (IMHO) the strongest entry of the lot!

The film screens online from October 9 - 20, 2022.
