15th Boston Greenfest - Honored To Be Part of It

Getting down heavy at the 15 Boston Green Fest. This year at Christopher Columbus Park, Boston. Perfect weather, fantastic people, and positive vibes all around. Photo courtesy LaIIndia Productions.

15th Boston GreenFest Educates, Entertains, and Connects Boston

The longest-running multicultural environmental music festival in the Northeast celebrated its 15th anniversary! This year’s theme was: Renew. Restore. Regenerate.

Folks came out of our COVID hibernation to be renewed, to restore our faith in each other and regenerate our connection with Mother Earth. And to learn about renewable energy, restoration through circular economy and regenerative practices to green our city|our planet.

It’s been a blast being part of this event for the last 10 years. After going completely virtual in 2020 and scaled down in 2021, this year’s event was back full force with music at Christopher Columbus Park in the waterfront and exhibits down the Greenway. Locals, tourists, dogs and boats all came for the fun.

Jah Free-I has been part of the Greenfest for 11 years. Lots of folks recorded our afternoon and show-closing sets. But, of course, we didn’t. (There’s a highly distorted audio track of a few songs, but not worth sharing.) If anything good surfaces, read about it here.

A special thanks to Dr. Karen Salamanca Weber, whose vision and incredible work against serious headwinds, created, perpetuated and grew this annual event. And a continued big up to La India Productions, who managed the stage with grace and professionalism.
