LJ Stewart, Owner of Barnet Tradepost Wellness Center, Inducted Into World Massage Therapy Hall of Fame

A big shout out to Ms LJ (LauraJean) Stewart, director of the Barnet Tradepost Wellness Center (BTWC), Barnet, VT, where I see Vermont Feldenkrais students. She was recently inducted into the World Massage Therapy Hall of Fame.

LJ was commended as a ground-breaker in the field of massage. Guru Sri Chimnoy praised her hands-on work as her form of meditation.

The Wellness Center is a welcoming, completely green facility with comfortable rooms, original artwork, and beautiful gardens. It was there that I first encountered a the composting toilet beyond those at the AMC Highland Center. LJ walks the walk in all she does.

The July 11 floods in Vermont left a massive crater on Route 5, in front of the Wellness Center. While the Center was unaffected, other buildings on the property took a major hit.

When asked if there was a fund LJ would like to be supported in her honor, she immediately referred me to GoFundMe program to repair/rebuild the damage to the Wellness Center. Any support would be welcome.
